I’m Christine and I’m a sucker for transformations.
From home makeovers (HGTV addict here) to physical transformations, I get a high from seeing people change, get what they want…become their best…have aha moments and follow through on their ideas.
About 10 years ago, when I noticed that many of my weight loss clients kept letting “life” get in the way of their progress, it bummed me out. It bummed me out because I wasn’t having the impact I wanted to, and it killed my buzz for coaching… for a long time.
That was until I came across the book, Changing for Good and became interested in the fascinating field of neuroscience (how the brain works). Over the next 8+ years I devoured everything I could. I learnt (and test drove) some awesome behavior change strategies and codified concepts to create some of my own. Then, when I noticed that one of the happy side-effect of meditation, which I started doing daily in 2015 to help me deal with a major loss, was that I (a master procrastinator) was able to focus like never before, I knew the combo of both disciplines could have profound impact for others.
With Vurb Life, I set out to simplify the scientific stuff, teach strategies in a way that’s easiest for people to learn, and work to “move” people toward goals they truly want — move them motivationally and in other ways.
The Vurb Lifestyle
We know that in order to achieve just about anything, we need to be consistent.
With the Vurb Lifestyle you’ll remove what is most people’s major consistency obstacle…Life getting in the way.
Here’s the thing: We won’t change (become consistent and successful) if we’re unwilling to change our habits, thoughts and the chaotic way in which we live.
If you want to be organized and you make the effort to clean out and organize your closet, but don’t create a cleaning schedule or some “new rules” for how you’re going to STAY organized, eventually you’re going to go back to throwing your clothes on the chair.
To overwrite old patterns and habits with new ones and to have the “energy” and clarity for follow-through, we have to live our one unique important crazy life in a way that supports us and what we’re trying to accomplish.

- Use simple biohacks like targeted nutrition and quality sleep to feel good most of the time. If you feel good, you’ll do better.
- Stop relying on hard-knuckle willpower; instead, work “with” your unique nature and your strengths.

PROBLEM: Lack of planning and know-how
As we learn from Changing for Good, The Power of Habit and other “change science” work, a major reason people don’t succeed or make lasting change is they skip a key step: They jump from Contemplating (“thinking about it”) to taking Action (doing it) without Planning (preparing for the journey ahead).
We create guides that not only give you the know-how to be successful, they include worksheets and information to create customized Plans that YOU can commit to.
Another major reason we don’t change or succeed at goals we really want (myself included!), is that we’re great at procrastination!
Our courses will kick-start your projects and goals
We take a learn-by-doing approach because you don’t, for example, build confidence by talking about, reading about, or even work-shopping it. A reliable way to build confidence is to put on a nice outfit and do something that might scare you…then, do more of that until your swagger is on lock.
During courses, we meet on weekly calls and live social media chats to ensure you “GET” the information and learn about resources to take projects all the way.
PROBLEM: Follow through
This one’s a biggie. Consistency is tough for everyone, but some things really help. Community is a source of accountability (a huge factor in follow-through). So, next time you want to make sure you stay honest on a goal that’s dear to you, share your journey on Instagram or other social media platforms by posting videos and snaps of your progress.
Our Vurb of the Day is (currently) a free text messaging service. It’s another great follow-through vehicle; it keeps you engaged and focused on your goals.
